If you tune into AAWW and ATSG’s quarterly earnings calls, you will walk away with a glowing report of expanding partnerships and high profits. The reality isn’t so rosy.

Don’t get us wrong: we’re excited about our growing work with DHL and Amazon and know the two logistics companies provide unprecedented opportunities. But such partnerships are not sustainable if the current attrition, retirement, and working conditions persist at AAWW and ATSG.

Pilots are worried Atlas Air will struggle with delays, scheduling, staffing, and more,” said Capt. Robert Kirchner, Atlas Air pilot and Executive Council Chairman for Atlas Air pilots of Teamsters Local 1224.
